I have plantar fasciitis but I'm not sure if this is that or something different. I have strong pain, especially with steps, (but also mild most of the time), on the back of my ankle, not my foot. This started about 5 days ago. I can barely step down, just one foot. Is this likely just part of the same thing or something different I should be concerned about. No trauma, but had increasing walking. Thank you in advance.

I was recently diagnosed with plantar fasciitis in both feet. My left heal and ankle were hurting so bad I could barely walk. I had to go back to physical therapy and they just started ultrasound on that foot which really helps. I had a cortisone shot but it didn't help much. You need to stretch the back of your calf muscles that's where plantar fasciitis originates. And grab your big toes and stretch the bottom of your feet and ankle.
