Denied Disability Benefits, What Now?

I can barely get myself ready in the morning without it exhausting me most days, there's no way I could work now but I was denied disability because most of my work in life had been self employed or sporadic so they say I haven't paid taxes enough to get SSD. What am I supposed to do?

      I was a housewife & mother for 20 years. I didn't qualify for it either. I was finally "awarded" SSI & Medicaid. The very best of luck to you!

      Me too, I was denied a few times. I then tried to work again for a few years, but it took a toll on my body. I'm going to apply again.

        @Raquel226 what kind of work? I'm not sure what I could do. I'm a vet tech and I'm positive that my body couldn't handle the kind of work I had to do there.

      I did have a lawyer, but because of the fact that I didn't pay enough into ssi they said I couldn't get it.

      I'm so sorry. I can relate. Can't get out of bed most days. Do you have a lawyer? I'm in the appeal process after a denial. I got a lawyer right away. I was told to keep appealing until I get approved.
