I don't feel like anyone really cares or understands me. I dropped out of school due to my BPD symptoms getting worse and I don't feel like my psychiatrist or my therapist take me seriously. I'm just painfully lost.

I know how you feel! It’s extremely frustrating when you feel like your psychiatrist and therapist don’t take you seriously. Trust me, I know. The other day I asked my therapist about BPD and she said I couldn’t have it because I don’t hurt myself 🙄 Thing is, I actually was diagnosed with BPD a couple years ago. It’s been a confusing road that’s for sure! I find the best thing to do in situations like this is to always get a second opinion. Even if it means going to another psychiatrist or therapist if necessary. Definitely not helpful when you feel you aren’t being taken seriously. We need to stand up for ourselves. No one knows us better than we know ourselves ❤️

I feel you. Sometimes I feel like everyone and everything is against me. I suggest to actively find new professional care. Sometimes universities have DBT and psychiatrists available.
