I fully admit that I used to drink my fair portion of red wine prior to getting physically unwell. I was never at the point of wanting a drink all of the time. I was upset tonight when I mentioned that I now did not drink much to a friend, and she scoffed at me. Getting unwell drains all the energy out of many of us. Many of us self prescribe in order to cope with a difficult situation. She had not seen me for some time. She was a close friend. I am now not sure if she has the empathy and maturity to support me. I went to a pip tribunal. There was no offering to support me. I do care about her, and I know that things have been difficult lately for her, but it doesn't feel like she has my back or even knows me partly now.

@Denotchka I don't. I rarely drink at all now. I live off coffee, herbal tea, and water

Don’t do it if you are dealing with depressed or angry. Dangerous moments to consume alcohol period so be careful.

If you stick with 2 glasses, it’s healthy.

It is often hard to go from self-medicating to fairly stable. Loved ones often react by past experience, and it is hard for them to understand the current state. I have been through this myself. It's hard to deal with, but it will get easier.

I understand you completely on this. I had to take a break from a relationship recently for the same reason and am not sure I want it back at any point. Feel free to pm me
