Hey guys, as I'm sure you all understand how hard it is to do stuff while in pain. Do any of you have active jobs and manage the pain without a heating pad? I have stronger meds coming but its going to be a week and I could use the advice Thanks

I was a 7th grade history teacher for 22 years and had to quit my job in the spring. Fibro, Endo and IC just became too much.

I found several alternative treatments that alleviate my pain. Acupuncture once a week and self-hypnosis treatment help me reduce the intensity of the pain and manage my lifestyle as usual.

Some days are just to painful and I let myself stay home and work from home / take a day off. Other days i bring to work heating pad as well, pain meds and some tea that i like. Listen to your body, I think he deserves it.

I actually use ice instead of heat. I wasn't so sure about it at first, I thought it'd cause more pain. Thankfully it does the trick and works much better than heat did for me. Give it a go

I work in an office, and when the pain strikes I cannot even do my paperwork. Luckily for me, I have the best boss. He totally understands me and when I’m in too much pain that even my meds won’t help, he lets me go home earlier.

I go to acupuncture on a weekly basis and when I have really bad days I take high dose of pain killers and usually I keep up the work. Once a month or so I cannot go to work, but I have been honest about it since my job interview
