Can anyone give me any advice about CBD? I heard it helps with anxiety. I've never tried it. How does it make you feel? And does it really help like others says it does?

CBD is most effective when there’s a small amount of THC. If you can get a medical card, most dispensaries have a 20:1 high CBD, low THC option or something similar. Some dispensaries only have pure CBD which I found to be less effective for me. I will say you need to take it consistently for 1-2 weeks for it to build in your system and be truly effective. Many try for a few days and quit prematurely because they think it’s not working. I have PTSD with anxiety and it does help me a lot. I also worked on a lot of other tools with my therapist.

I've used hemp oil for two years now..not cbd..its helped with minor pain, anxiety, pms and big increase in energy...no known side effects for me.

Thank you y'all! I think I'm gonna try it soon. With the anxiety I have, I'm willing to try almost anything.

@Kimmiepooh I had the most success with edibles, esp CBD pops. using straight oil always made me super nauseous, idk if it was the texture or if I just dosed too fast, but the slow, steady dosing was a lot more effective for me

It works better for chronic/general anxiety than for acute anxiety, but it works well enough for me and usually just helps me sleep (which goes a LONG way when you have anxiety lol)

I used it for a few years before finally getting on Lexapro. I agree with what others say that it can help with day to day anxiety and I found success with it for the majority. Just don’t expect it to be a miracle cure. I’m happy I got on meds finally and learning coping mechanisms to deal with it. I do every once in awhile take cbd on my bad days. As for how it can help you fell it just makes you feel a little more relaxed - some people do get a little sleepy but there is zero high feeling like you’d feel with weed. I do suggest tho if you decide to try it to make sure you use it at least once a day so you can get used to it too even if it’s in smaller doses

@AnxiousLady Yes! Smaller doses is better to start for sure. I was new to CBD and took 20mg and it made me fall asleep real quick. It's better to start with a smaller amount just to get the feel for it then increasing the amount to where it feels most helpful. I also usually just take it on really bad days just to ease my nerves. That way I don't really build a tolerance.

i use it for pain and it also helped a lot with my anxiety. i take around 50-150 mg to feel its effects. i dont really feel much, aside from feeling like “wow this is what being ‘normal’ is like” lol. thc works better for me tho but i dont do it as often

Do lots of research first but it can be very helpful. Not as well with panic attacks but I've found it very helpful

I tried it before getting my medical card for weed. It's ok. For day to day anxiety it helps, but it didn't do anything for me at least with panic attacks.
