Heyo! This'll be my first post on here. For a while now I've been struggling with focusing and sitting down to get work done. Even when I'm working on a subject I'm passionate about, I still end up procrastinating. I sort of go into this 'armadillo mode' as I like to call it, and completely shut down. Cause for some reason, my brain thinks that acknowledging the work will make things worse when in reality, avoiding it is hurting me. Ever since I got diagnosed with dysthymia I thought that was the cause of it, but with a bit of research, I think I might also have ADHD. I have other suspicions as to why I think I have it, but I'll possibly save that for a later post. Once I get back to college, I'm going to contact my therapist as soon as I can and see what I can do. Sorry if this post seemed a little scattered, I've just been bottling up all this stuff and am just relieved to get it out.
