my dads an alcoholic and over covid he was drinking making him a bad person, throwing stuff, breaking stuff slamming doors ect. we got him to stop drinking but when I came back from school today I saw a bottle of vodka in the freezer and cranberry juice in the fridge, I can't explain how I felt my heart fell out of my chest anger well in my eyes. I'm disappointed and fed up, he has anger issues SOBER never mind drunk, I hate him I think I hate him

My dad was like this while I grew up, as far back as I can remember. He has the absolute worst temper, he was physically abusive to my mom and brothers and mentally and emotionally abusive to all of us. It was so much worse when he drank. He did eventually stop drinking a lot now which helps but he is still an angry person and his anger issues are still apparent. At this point I'm moved out with kids of my own and I just do my best to avoid him at all costs.
