Yes, especially after eating sometimes, if i eat too fast but also just randomly, doesnt need to be a lot of food either. It’s like my body gets overwhelmed and doesnt know how to work anymore. Moving around helps
yes, and i also developed a cough due to inflammation of the airways. (there's actually a diagnosis called "adult onset gerd-related asthma" for that situation!). omeprazome got rid of all the symptoms of it, in my case, but it's supposedly not advisable for more than a few weeks, much less a full year like i've been on it!
same here! normally my GERD shortness of breath happens right after eating a large meal, whereas if it happens when i haven’t eaten recently i normally chalk it up to anxiety
I bought a bed wedge that has helped me tremendously. It took a little bit to get used to, but sleeping at an angle has helped my GERD so much. If I lie flat, it’s just like an invitation into my throat for hours every day
I got mine from Amazon. You can get one like this Kӧlbs Bed Wedge Pillow with Memory Foam Top | Stylish Chic Jacquard Cover | Wedge Pillow for Sleeping and Acid Reflux, Heartburn, and GERD Pillow – Snoring Pillow https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082XKFYLJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2PQ1XVQA0APKNAXNN885 or one like this ENITYA Full (10"x6"x54") Bed Wedge Pillow Long,Mattress Gap Filler(0-10")/Bolster Pillow for Bed/headboard Pillow/Gap Filler Between Your Headboard and Mattress(Gray) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09GFRV8YK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_TX8V0227W49WESS417G0 and put a pillow at the bottom of the wedge under you and a pillow under your head
seconding this, i love my bed wedge!! i actually have one that goes under the mattress so the whole bed is inclined rather than just a small wedge and it’s so much more comfortable, worth the investment if you’re ever looking for something a bit nicer!
So when I’m anxious or have a lot going on, it causes me to be short of breath sometimes so that anxiety messes with my stomach causing burping or reflux.
