It's really awesome, terrifying, and rewarding. My children have never been to public school but I was and that's part of why I homeschool. My 9 year old is a really proficient reader, he learned it all from video games. We play together a lot. For us, homeschool is about including the children in all aspects of life while teaching along the way. History and geography are from playing realistic strategy games with dad. The only thing we use a criculum for is math.
