so...I am spiraling a little bit. I just found out I have covid. I am vaccinated and boosted,but my health anxiety is kicking in really bad right now... I have not caught since this whole thing started..it is really hard to push the bad thoughts and scenarios away..

      I just caught it a couple weeks ago, I have really bad health anxiety too. I honestly took time off of everything and slept as much as I could, kept myself occupied with happy movies/tv shows and videogames (probably spent 3 days straight on among us) ordered healthy groceries (health shots, veggies fruits protein) to make sure I was eating what my body needed & took CBD to ease my nerves. You’ll be fine trust me <3

      I have health anxiety (for many years) and recently had covid (and vaccinated, although not boosted) as well. I will say what helps me with my health anxiety and this covid issue specifically is the comfort in statistics. Having solid numbers showing that the majority of people will make it out okay, especially when vaccinated, is what made me not spiral. I kept reminding myself this vaccine is doing it’s job to protect me, all these scientists say this will keep me safer and I need to trust in that science and know that I wont die from this. I will say my symptoms did feel pretty strong in some areas and not as bad as expected in others. Just make sure to do a lot of self care, go easy on yourself, lower your expectations of what you may think you can accomplish this week, and truly know that you are going to make it out okay. Just think on the bright side now you’ll be even more immune and maybe can get through this even easier if it happens again. You can handle this and you will be okay. Might help if you say that to yourself in a mirror or when you’re having moments of fear alone. I would just do an affirmation in this time along the lines of repeating: I can do this, I will be okay, My body is doing it’s job to heal, I will survive this, or whatever other thought you want to force into your regular routine 💕 you’re not alone in this fear.
