Share Your Special Interests and Hyperfixations!

Currently for me it's fashion/makeup, taking walks, and the band Lovejoy! Specifically I've found myself enjoying walking down a path that overlooks the bayfront in my city, blasting Lovejoy's song Concrete on repeat with headphones and I dance to it while sometimes taking pictures of myself/my outfits and cool stuff I see. It's gotten to a point where I take this walk almost daily, it's a big stress reliever!

I love drawing and dancing and watching children's animations/movies and I love going fishing

I kinda got reattached to an old special interest/ hyper fixation 😅 it is 2022 and here I am, once again obsessed with Homestuck but specifically making ocs and world building. My friend and I have over 100 ocs combined now for Homestucm with no end in sight and we are THRIVING

I always thought I was so strange that I couldn't do certain things but I could become so informed or genius in others. It truly is hyperfixation when you can't think( organized) you fixate on something. I have ptsd from some horrible events in recent years. This adhd feature has made it more difficult to get out of being trapped in ptsd. Right now just trying NOT to hyperfocus.

I’ve been hyperfixating on art supplies for no real reason? Like, I keep thinking “we’ll maybe I wanna try X” and then researching getting into X and what supplies are beginner friendly but good. I have a hard rule to not have more than 100 tabs on my phone open at a time and I keep creeping over with tabs on watercolor brushes and paints, oil paints, and pastels. Paints frustrate me when I use them which is why I don’t have any beyond some basic acrylics. Why am I so fixated on “but what if I like it this time?” when I already know the textures and motions my hands like??

My hyperfixation has been phsycology and overcoming uncertainty.. I like hyperfixating on something health related.

Nail polish! I own almost 500 bottles now and repaint every other day. It’s so soothing 💕

My hyperfixations right now are most definitely Rubik’s cubes, digital art, photography and crime documentaries ❤️
