curious if anyone else taking lamotrigine/lamictal deals with insomnia and how they deal/dealt with it or if it was so bad they had to switch medications. I'd love some thoughts as it's getting rough and we all know sleep is like #1

I take it for bipolar. It definitely helped my mood but hasn't helped my sleep much. Although my doctor came to the conclusion I just naturally don't need a lot of sleep and I think he might be right

I’m taking it for depression currently, and it has worked really well for me. I started it about 8 months ago, and I haven’t noticed any side effects. I take it once in the morning, and my psychiatrist told me that most people take it at night because it can make people tired, so I find your experience really interesting.

I am on it right now for my bipolar I and I like it to stabilize my mood and I use melatonin and do breath work

I took that but found out I was allergic. So I'd say if you think you are not reacting to it the right way definitely switch
