You have to be careful, if you're an empathic person it can trigger or exhaust you. But the excitement of "omg my people" when you connect with someone similar is worth it to me personally.

I'd say if you have specific things you're ashamed of that you would like to talk about, it can help to know you're not alone. It can help to remind you that much of what you're experiencing due to illness is just that--symptoms that don't define you since they are shared by others with your condition. However I agree with others saying sometimes it can make me feel sadder reading some posts. I came across a post that honestly should have had a trigger warning. It was quote graphic, and it made me cry. I would just say be discerning. Good luck to you.

It's interesting to read, honestly I feel validated that I'm not alone in these experiences even if it's just reading a short story. It also feels nice to get the thoughts in your head out there so that you feel like you're being listened to.
I'm not on any of the medication I once was on and it doesn't help. I cry randomly and my anxiety is bad
