Feeling Unappreciated by My Daughter

I wish I had some helpful advice, but all I can do is tell you that you're not alone in your struggle with your adult daughter. I, too, was a single mom. I did the very best I could for my two daughters. I wore clothes from thrift stores so they could wear clothes from the mall. I took second hand things so they didn't have to - in every way.They were not necessarily spoiled, but they didn't want for much. I was never abusive in any way and they were never put in dangerous positions because of neglect or what have you. But they still accuse me of traumatizing them and my 23 year old sometimes refuses to speak to me for months on end and I have no idea why. She said she just cannot communicate with me. I don't believe any person can cause a person the mental anguish that their own child can. I wish you much luck and I hope your daughter will soon realize how much pain she is causing you.
