Do other people's symptoms get worse with a routine? I know it's supposed to help but I feel like I get in a groundhog day mindset and it affects how I view and react to things. I hate it and it makes me feel like I don't control my life

Yes, definitely, especially when it's something that isn't going anywhere I want to be. Please consider if what you're doing is part of the plan, or maybe you've been let down so many times that you don't expect anything to change

Routines can be mentally draining sometimes. I understand the benefits of routine but honestly, it doesn't be as strict as it's made out to be, you know? For instance, I alternate my self-care routines. I know that today is the day where I do the usual skin care stuff but I can always do that at a later time. Essentially, leave some space in your routine where you can do whatever you want.

Routine is fine until it's killing me mentally. Change it up sometimes so you don't go nuts but recommend.

@PixieTrix Agreed. I guess the general consensus around routines is to get everything done by a certain time or be busy but it doesn't have to be like that.

if i'm feeling anxious routine really helps but otherwise too much routine makes me feel bored or empty and then i get impulsive. like i can't really win
