Ive stopped self harming (wasnt addicted but still) and now ive moved onto picking my lips till they bleed anyone have any tips on how to stop
i did the same thing and im 101 days clean right now im braiding string and learning to cross stitch it sounds silly but it really distracting

Why not try lipgloss or lipstick (& there is skin colored if that idea bothers u)? Or pick up something to do w ur hands, like a craft or activity that would keep them busy.
Probiotics made my (moderate-severe) nail biting go away completely and lessened my (severe) hair pulling and (moderate) skin picking. You might try them, it's possible it would work for any kind of body focused repetitive behavior.
Not sure if it will help but put something extremely hot on your lips or get a friend or family to slap you every time you do 🙂 not sure if I’m serious or not

What you are doing is still self-harm/self-motivation, even if you're not cutting or doing whatever it was that you consider self-harm. I would suggest trying a super hydrating balm and lip scrub to help your lips be healthy again and find something else tactile that can stimulate you. And ask yourself what is the root of it? Are you bored? Anxious? If you can pinpoint what feelings cause you to feel like you have to do these things, you are one step closer to stopping. It's not about the self-harm. It's something deeper that you have to address. ❤️
