Oops hit send too soon. I had one in high school during class and when they got me to the nurse I broke down hard. I also threw up, which made it worse.

all the time. right after I get out of a grand mal I feel like I can’t do anything except for cry. it’s always a feeling of disappointment even though I know I couldn’t have stopped it if there were no warning signs.

Yes, but there’s always the bright side. I have a funny story, actually- I was out on fall break of 2018, so I was a teen. I was with my stepdad who’s never dealt with a seizure of mine. I have JME with tremors and tonic clonic seizures. Like, I hit the floor seizing, it’s not fun. But it’s been well managed so I look back on this with laughs. It was around Halloween, actually, and I had a seizure in a Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Right on the floor for everyone to see, my Diet Coke all over me. The EMTs were so sweet and asking me my name and everything. I was sixteen or so at the time, and joking, laughing through the pain of my head hitting the tiled floor. Best part? Free food, and seeing my stepdad panic. The worst part? Having to wait to eat it. I think the lack of control with tremors makes seizures worse in the end, but it gets easier to manage as you get used to them and find your triggers. That day wasn’t triggered by anything.

Yes, all the time actually. I just feel so out of control that I don’t know what else to do

Yes, when I was in high school and just got diagnosed. These feelings of anxiety and uncertainty really broke me
