I wasn't able to return to work for a few years. I'm now on social security disability, and I was lucky enough to find a part time job working only 2 days a week.

I have been lucky enough to find a flexible and remote independent contractor position with a nonprofit where Iām able to work up to full time when Iām well and then I just work very minimal hours when my head or vision is too bad. But the downside there is that I donāt get any health insurance, paid leave, etc. so itās a fairly precarious position to be in!
