What can I try when I'm having a depressive episode?

@Jomanji I wouldn’t sleep much more during the day than you need. I know depression makes us want to just lay around and do nothing but it’s actually better to get up and be as active as you can. Even if that means walking down your street and back for 5 minutes just to get out of the house. Be realistic but do try to move. Just laying around and sleeping has the tendency to make you worse or stay depressed.
It helps when I reach out to my special person (the person you can actually talk to and feel safe doing so!) and let them know. Mine usually asks what they can do and I make it my duty to think of one thing they can do for me. Sometimes that can be them texting me throughout the day, or having them come on by and helping me out with chores. Never let yourself feel alone!

Get up, get dressed (not pajamas or comfy clothes), & get out of the house. It may seem really difficult but being enclosed and secluded makes things worse. Hang with a friend or if you don't feel like being around people go for a walk.

Finding something that makes you less anxious or depressed. Self care, a bubble bath, or a hot bath in general, a fidget toy, a sensory toy. Your favorite food. Music. Crying sometimes helps. A hobby
@geminibunny What if the things I like just make me tired?
