I just want to be happy for once. I want my so-called "Best Friend" to stop spreading lies about me. She should know that it hurts when someone else tells lies about that other person. I want it to stop. I feel like she's trying to make my life miserable or worse, and it hurts. It really hurts.

@Catlover12350 I think the friendship ending was for the best, honestly. A lot of people befriend toxic people.. bc they believe they will change. Trust me, they won’t change. They will only change if they want to. I ended my toxic friendship bc my mother had to intervene… I was harming myself bc my so called friend told me to. Get rid of toxic as soon as you can.. you don’t need that in your life. I hope this gets through to you and helps.

I know it hurts… have you considered ending that friendship? I’ve been in almost the exact situation. When someone you consider to be your “best friend” does everything they can to put you down, that is not friendship. They are obviously using you to look better, stir the pot bc they know they will get away with it. You sound like a very kind person, although a lot of people see that as a way to get away with something.

@LoveMyu I'm so sorry for the late reply! But, they ended the friendship and blocked me on everything, so I have no way to contact them about it. I really want them back in my life, but I know it's never going to happen.
@LoveMyu What I’m saying is people may or may not see your kindness and end up using that against you…
*hug* I'm sorry you're in this position. I've been there myself and the hardest takeaway from it is often "that isn't a friend." Friendship can take work but it shouldn't hurt - not like that. If that person is hurting you or bringing you down - it might be a good time to sit yourself down and truly take into account the pros and cons of having this person in your life. If the cons outway the pros and you still don't feel like you want to write them off just yet, try having a conversation with them about it; maybe try taking a break. If that doesn't work or if your calculations simply put the relationship too far into the "cons," it may be time to move on.
