Skipping ADHD Meds on Weekends - Is it Worth It?

Adderall side effects tend to stick around for the first 1-2 weeks. That being said, are you getting any side effects when you ARE taking them; or just when you AREN'T taking them? My doctor told me to try not to skip any days when first starting out, and the one day that I did was similarly miserable. Definitely talk to your doctor regardless, but if your brain appreciates the A and doesn't appreciate being off of it, I personally don't see any reason not to take it every day, unless you're having side effects while you're on it as well. When you are first starting you should regularly take them no matter the day. I got that information too and didn't hear otherwise for like 6 months after the fact that I was doing it wrong and literally could have saved myself the headache.
