Any advice for getting through the really busy stressful days at work? My job is pretty chill- I stock produce at a grocery store. My only interaction with customers is when they ask if we have more of a certain item. So this job is way less stressful than others I've had in the past. However, around holidays and weekends, it gets very busy. The crowd, the noise, and the traffic jams in aisles, make me anxious and gives me sensory overload. It was so bad yesterday that I got dizzy and my hands were tingling, I hid in the back room a lot, I thought about quitting, and I had to call in sick today. I dont really want to quit though, because I need the money, its not always this bad, and I dont know of any jobs in my area that would be easier for me. Any advice for those rough days?

These days happen. Take 5 minutes when you need. Call a friend to vent. Listen to a song to calm your nerves. Drink water. Best wishes ❤️❤️

Are you allowed to listen to music during your shift? And find a place to take a few minutes to yourself here and there and just clear out the negativity, things get rough for me at work as well, I always try to keep in mind the importance of a paycheck and push through. At previous jobs I’ve let my boss know a little bit about my struggles and they’ve let me step outside for a few moments as needed. Also try and interact with some co-workers, if you know them a bit I find things can feel a little less tense
Best thing that helps me is taking slow deep breaths and telling myself the noise is just temporary
Be thankful you can work still

@Wesj75 asking for help doesn't make people any less grateful for what they have 💕
@Wesj75 I absolutely am :) just looking for ways to make it more manageable.
To at least help with the noise I would recommend over-the-counter silicone earplugs they’re discreet and they just muffle the noise so it’s not as intense
