@Lucas.exe Non meds related things to try may be a night light (that always helps me wake up quicker) and some sour candy on the side of your bed (stops panic attacks and overwhelming flashbacks for me). Other then that maybe try setting up a plan? Like say if you start moving your hands in your sleep have him hold them gently but still and a calm voice waking you up to a lamp on or something.

I'm on prazosin for my night terrors. My mom has something similar to your symptoms and shes on trazadone.

I take prazosin for mostly terrors. Some nightmares. It helped a bit. The intensity decreased. I kick and punch my partner as well. He tries not to even touch me bc I react. I want to be touched......

@shakie I want my man to comfort me when I'm having a nightmare so it makes me upset when he can't cause I kick or punch him

I'm on prazosin for my nightmares. I still have them, just not as much/as bad as without it

Hey lovely, for me the best advice I can give is to try a sleep aid like melatonin (if you can have it) its helped me by far with my nightmares and it's helped me sleep soundly. I've only ever had one since taking it and thankfully it wasn't related to trauma I have. I hope this helps! Also try meditating before bed if your into meditating. It helps to clear your mind before sleeping of everything you go through in a day. I'm a waitress so I deal with a lot of stress and sometimes really awful people.. It's helped me a lot as well! :)
