@Lora , The people that say lazy are the ones that have never had to deal with it! If they did they sure in the heck wouldn't be saying! From a person who lives with chronic pain for a very long time and it seems as you get older it sure doesn't get better!

I live binging on Netflix, when I find a good series it can distract me from the pain. Some people will say it's lazy but honestly I think everyone should do whatever they can. I also take a lot of painkillers, usually NSAID's, when I feel that I need additional help.

Rest when your body tells you to! Baths. Massages. Chiropractor. Anti inflammatory diet is a huge one. Prayer. Venting/ therapy. Stretching & foam rolling as painful as it may be. Learning how to breathe through it.

I scrapbook, pray, make jewelry, and sleep when needed. People don't realize how much rest is needed for a person with chronic pain. It doesn't make us lazy it makes us to where we can be a functioning individual.

I go to the YMCA and take the easy exercise classes. Depending on your age you may be able to participate in the Silver Sneakers classes (luckily Iā€™m in that category!)

I listen to music, play games or color on my phone to distract myself from the pain.

I find activities that aren't high energy but keep my mind busy Coloring, games on my phone, reading, watching movies, etc. The less I focus on how I hurt, the less I notice it.
