I'm not planning on trying for a baby any time soon, but I wanted more info on PCOS (my therapist suggested an obgyn/fertility dr might be a good place to start) when you were first trying to plan around and manage your PCOS did you see a fertility specialist or did you find other avenues of info?
I started with my OBGYN. Even if you’re not wanting a baby now, the earlier that you start treatment for your PCOS, they better off you’ll be when you are ready to conceive!
I ha e PCOS AND Endometriosis and I was told for 20 years I couldn't have kids i tried fertility pills when my husband was alive and was told the same again I was 38 years old when I got pregnant wasn't trying had already came to the conclusion I wasn't meant to have kids im 41 and her daddy is 68 she is 2 years old so if u want children don't let a dr tell u that u can't have them because it will happen when u least expect it
Hey! I don’t think the doctors can predict your chances of getting pregnant before you try… PCOS varies a lot from woman to woman. I started with my OB/GYN that suggested we give it a chance before starting treatment with clomiphene and it worked!
I was immediately referred to an OB/GYN, but depending on what your goals are and what pain you experience, I’ve been recommended everything from fertility specialists (I’m not looking to get pregnant), pelvic floor therapists, chiropractors, etc. I prefer methods of relaxation (stretching/chiropractor) combined with medication to help soothe my poor body 😅
