How to Deal with Anger During the Healing Process

I’ve struggled with anger my whole life, plus the feeling of “must prove myself.” The thing that helped me heal was discovering the root(s). My major root was “underachieving parents and their siblings holding me to ridiculously high standards that they themselves never achieved.” It was all about appearances. Nowadays I live a life serving ME, and it really helped me when my dad died. And step dad. Weights were lifted. Words could no longer be thoughtlessly flung. I hope this helps.

I have a lot of repressed anger. It's so hard not too. Hopefully you have a good therapist that you can talk about it with.
