By far, the worst pain I've ever felt in my entire existence has never been a manifestation of any physical malady of mine. The worst pain I've ever experienced was being widowed and losing my best friend and love of my life. I miss him more than anything. That pain never ceases. It never ends. It gets easier over time because you just get accustomed to living and learn to with it, but it never truly goes away, nor does it ever get better. I can't even describe the gut-wrenching agony that deeply hollows me to others who have never experienced this loss. It's incomprehensible until you go through it yourself.

I remember how much time I spent with my grandma after my grandfather died, but I have no memory of the two months after his death, because of the depression it threw me into. It was, and is really difficult because of how much he was in my life, but what has really helped both my grandma and I, is doing things together that are fun that he would have liked too, and we'll tell a story and cry a little, but it feels like we're still hanging out with him that way
