Has any one had the gallbladder took out and a year later still have the pain on the right side that goes in the back

      I had mine removed in 2011, due to complications it had to be open, so I had a lot of scar tissue pain. But then in 2015 I felt like I had gallstones again. Went back to the doctor, had a bunch of tests, the gastroenterologist said my MRI was the weirdest he'd ever seen because I had a gallbladder with stones. It has grown back. So I went back under the knife and again had to be opened up, so more scar tissue. I still every once in a while get some scar tissue pain.

      I had mine out years ago. Have a lot of scar tissue and a hernia that if I move too quickly get stuck in a rib. The pain is awful

      I had severe pain after gallbladder removal and it turned out my bile duct was clogged/closing. I needed a surgery called an ERCP. I actually needed it 4 times, but that's not typical. Good luck!

      I had my gallbladder taken out 2013 worse pain of my life everyday all day but I don’t know if it’s from other chronic Illnesses also I am hanging on by a thread 😢😭

      I deal with some phantom pains on my right side. Had my gallbladder out in 2015.

      Yes!!! I’ve had a terrible time with this issue. Some of my stabbing pain went away after my gallbladder was removed but I still have the tight pain there. It can get pretty intense.

      I have never had my gallbladder taken out but how is your liver? I know they are pretty close to each other.
