I have nightmares almost every day. They include PTSD nightmares and just random nightmares. I've tried therapy, meds, and different techniques to improve my sleep (reducing caffeine, relaxing bath, meditation, white noise) but it didn't help much. Any advice? What am missing?

Ever tried lucid dreaming? It when you start to realize your in a dream and take control of it. It how I managed 95% of my nightmares. It not 100% fool proof and doesn't work for everybody but it worth looking into.
I'm not very familiar with nightmares personally but I'm very interested in dreams. most of the time our dreams, especially bad ones, is our subconscious trying to communicate with us. it's basically trying to tell us there's something in our waking life that is bothering us, or something we haven't quite healed from. I try writing down what my dream was then, using google and also just what's going on in my life, try to figure out what's wrong. it really does help, at least for me, to try and understand what the dream is trying to tell me. I had a dream about ostriches and chickens, thw ostriches were eating oxiclean and basically becoming rabid zombie birds, and mating with chickens to infect them. I figured out that the birds meant I'm repressing something and the zombie thing is probably me feeling like I'm losing control. not sure about the oxiclean bit tho.. point is, it's worth trying to figure out the "coded message" our dreams are hiding. usually spiritual people are good at this, like astrology people or wiccans (like myself) or others interested in that stuff!
