I noticed I am very codependent when it comes to calming my anxiety and OCD down... Im struggling to find ways to do it on my own. Any suggestions?

@Kat78 think about the root of what you're feeling and really try to understand it; you feel worried your partner doesn't love you, why? And once you get to the core you kind of learn how to cope better. When I made the realization my parents rejected me and made me feel unloved; I realized I was putting that on my partner so I learned to coddle my child self a bit and it's made things easier

I think as a society we've gotten really self reliant. I think it's okay to have other people help you. Just be sure you're removing any guilt from yourself from appreciating your fellow human's help. If in a case where you can't get help from anyone, it's just not possible; what self soothing coping mechanisms have you tried?

@DollyLeeQuacks I've tried to just play games on my phone or try and play a videogame. I even try to read or calm my breathing. Sometimes it helps but the thoughts and emotions r still there
What specific OCD thoughts are you having?
@phidippus Like my fiance doesn't love me anymore or that something is wrong and I can't find out what it is
