I swear by Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty! It gives me something to do with my hands and helps me release a bit of my anxiety through movement, without being too distracting for other people. I like it because its portable too and a good physical therapy exercise for my carpal tunnel too! 👍

I used to paint my nails then peel the dried nail polish off whenever I felt like picking

There is the product called pick n peel stones that was made for people with that specific issue, they release in drops so they can be a tad hard to acquire but I've heard they relieve that same feeling.

I would love answers if you find any!! I have been working on decreasing skin picking in my CBT sessions but like my entire life, my skin picking comes in waves of intensity. I bought a tangle toy to help fidget with something that feels similar to skin, it has several textures. I also use a serum “pick fix” on my skin after I pick. I tend to pick significantly more if there is the slightest imperfection and pick fix heaps speed up the healing process which helps!
