I just got home yesterday from the ward. I'm going to the gym and everything and trying to stay positive but there's always that part of me that looks at what I've done more than what I'm doing, looks at the past and focuses on the bad and tells me it's not worth it cause history will just repeat its self and I'll just mess up again so I might as well stop while I'm ahead. anyone else feel like that.

I feel like this literally everyday. All the things I try I end up being unable to finish and wonder what the point in trying is anyways if I'm only going to keep failing. But there's always the hope that you won't, that you'll stay committed, and you'll get through it and do better next time. I think looking forward to what you can try to do, rather than what you have tried to do already, will help keep your head up. It's hard to move forward with the past continously pulling you backwards, but that doesn't mean you should let those thoughts and memories stop you from doing something you may be interested in. You're still here and moving ahead Day by day even if life doesn't look like what you imagined. It's not perfect and neither are we but we can only give grace to ourselves to be able to hold on to our mental strength and put ourselves first to accomplish what we need. I don't know if any of this helps, but it's just some stuff I think about at times when I feel down. I've never been a ward and can't imagine what it's like, but I'm proud of you and happy your here and reaching out.

Yes, I understand. I seem to fall into periods of self-forcasted failure. It is difficult sometimes to convince ourselves that we CAN get better.
