Questioning My Herpes Virus Test for Years

So I have been questioning my herpes virus test for many many years now. I have asked Drs questions and still have gotten nowhere. In my 20s I found out my kids father was subjected 2 it so I ran and got tested. Yes he was a cheat!! Since I NEVER had any symptoms they did bloodwork and it was not so easy getting THAT!! Had 2 argue my case 2 the Dr., then wait for insurance approval cuz bloodwork for herpes is not so common they said. I ALWAYS thought it was included in all my STD tests, but found out it def is NOT. And it cost more so insurance hates paying. IT came back positive, fast forward 20 years and still have yet 2 have ANY symptoms. But I have heard having Mono can cause a false positive. I did have that at 13yrs old and pretty sure I've suffered a few times throughout my life w symptoms from it. I still test positive for both. But I hear it's only antibodies they test for, And they are 1 in the same for both. Also at 24 I contacted Herpetic Whitlow which reading can b a HSV 1 or 2. I'm sure I'm not the ONLY human out there w these questions. I have lived like I have the disease but Wud b nice 2 get some answers. I always blamed my kids father and he's since passed, recently, he also never had any symptoms. Wud like 2b able 2 put that 2 rest maybe for him. How can I go about testing or something 2 find out? I have a low immune system and had so much stress in my life that there's no way if I had the disease I wouldn't have shown some signs, RIGHT!? I know noone that has it that never showed signs, and I know quite a few ppl w it. Any suggestions or teaching Wud b greatly appreciated. Seems like the 1s w the degree are clueless.
