I have a phrase I use- half-assed is better than not at all. That's usually the best motivator I've got.
I let those times where my energy is low I just rest it out. Meaning I don't fight it. Doing that helps because after awhile I will start been me again. I have learned beating up myself only makes it worse

My dog is good at helping me get out of bed, but I struggle finding motivation as well. I can't hold down a routine to save my life, I wish I could!
@jeb Me too but I stopped worrying so much about it. My therapist is helping me to cope
@jeb maintaining a routine is HARD!!! it takes a lot of time and patience and practice. but if a routine just doesn’t work for you, i also find that looking for the good little things in life helps me get out of my “slump” a bit. if i’m having a really bad day and i cant do my routine, i try to think (or write) at least five good things in my life.
for me, developing a routine has been helpful. if i know what to expect, tasks seem a little less daunting. of course there are still days when i can barely get out of bed, but when i’m having one of those days, i usually just remind myself that i’ll feel at least a little better if i do those basic things like showering, brushing my teeth, etc.
