@Ravenswolf58 Hey, I have a question. So I'm needing to get a catheter inserted due to a test the doc wants to run but I'm nervous on how it feels and if it will hurt. I've never had kids or passed kidney stones if that makes a difference but just wondering how it is the first time?

I have neurogenic bladder. I've had it since birth, and at 5 I got a mitrofanoff placed thru my belly button. I can finally *not* pee on myself. I have gone from peeing every hour (5YO) to going up to 3 hours (sometimes longer if I don't drink much) if you want to get in messages I can explain more :)

I have the opposite effect my neogenic bladder makes it to where I have sever retention and had to learn how to catheterization myself but do to my skin condition it was very painful and the catheter was getting stuck due to the swelling my skin condition caused so the doctors done a interstim (pacemaker) for my bladder it worked for a couple of months but stopped so I had to have a suprapubic catheter done but because I keep getting bad infections I'm now going to have to have a urinary diversion surgery in july

Hi. I'm 64 and I have used 6" female catheters since I was 21 years old. They are a godsend. I wasn't able to urinate on my own. I've worn pullups for a few years now. I go thru Shield Health Care. I'm in CA. It takes a little bit to get use to the catheters. But it doesn't hurt. And they are a 1 time use only.
