      @ClayBrooks oh man, that sucks, I’m sorry. It shouldn’t all be on you to communicate clearly, but maybe instead of saying “I know,” say “I’ve been trying/I tried.” “I know” seems to be triggering for some parents ;)

      My dad wants me to tidy my room, I want to tidy my room. He walked in amd was confused why I wasn't doing anything. I told him i got supper dizzy and he started to tell me to practice breathing exercises like I hadn't done that a million times, told him I was just dizzy and I already knew and he yelled at me saying "of course you know you a teenager and you know everything". Stuff like this happens lots.

      Yeah its really annoying, and even when they start listing of suggestions that would work for them as if you haven’t tried everything. Some people seem determined to misunderstand and reinforce what they think is actually happening. For me i just keep these people at arms length where possible
