Feeling Disconnected from Myself and the World

I'm not sure if this is the right topic, but I experience a separation from myself and the world. It kind of scares me. I don't feel whole but like my mind is separate from my body. I hate being human. I hate having a body. I don't feel like I have genuine feelings. I guess how I'm supposed to act and what to say. I'm often awkward and inappropriate. Anyone know what I'm going through? It's not a sudden thing but ongoing.

      I understand you to a point, but my experience has been much more sudden. It hits me really hard in waves. And I feel like I dont know what to do with myself (physically) like how to touch and interact, even though I'm doing it. It's like they aren't my hands or body, and I'm just desynchronized

        @Erebyssian mine hits me in waves, too. It's been going on for a few years, though. Do ever feel like you want to crawl out of your skin? Like your body feels unnatural? I feel it in my head a lot. Almost like there's two of me, but not a separate identity. It's so hard to put into words.

          @HowPow Yes, it feels that way for me too. For me it focuses on my hands and my head. Sometimes it spreads to the rest of my body, sometimes it doesn't. When I'm in that state I don't like how my skin feels on the body. And I'm just not here. Everything is blurry and numbed, and its like small sounds are so sharp and loud at the same time. I feel a combination of too much and too little and im just drowned. I don't know where I go
