Does anyone else get chest pains like a dull burning sensation or sometimes even sharp on and off from anxiety? even when you don't feel anxious but maybe it's just subconscious, and your limbic system acts up and causes your nervous system to experience all sorts of symptoms, such as chest pain. or like your left side gets sort of achy and numbness, or you have a weird sensation in your neck or head like a woozy feeling? I just wonder how many ppl experience more physical symptoms from anxiety than just worrying and having mental anxiety? for me the physical symptoms are far worse than just me being worried because my thoughts can't hurt me but the sensations make me think something else is seriously wrong inside me...even tho it's probably not. it's just anxiety. so anyone care to share if they have similar symptoms? and how you manage and deal with it..

@Ann21 omg right the funny head feeling is awful cuz your eyes just everything it feels like you might pass out and it always comes out of nowhere...sigh and yeah I just talk myself down all the time..I'm just like nothing is gonna happen we are safe. And if something bad happens...oh well 🤷🏽‍♀️ is what it is lol like I literally have accepted mostly that if something is to happen that I just have to accept and be ok with it. Not live in fear what if I have a heart attack or stroke or something else...like well what if? But what if I don't and I'm just fine. So yeah. And yeah I wish at times I have Klonopin or Xanax to take as needed, but my Dr won't prescribe it so I just have my buspirone I take 15mg 4 times a day...and I just talk to my brain and anxiety like it's a person. Tell her we are good and to relax. But I accept that she is there until she is ready to leave 😅

When I get any sort of panic attacks, I go on coughing really loudly for a while and feel it in my chest.

I used to get that all of the time when I was living with my narcissistic husband. He kept me in anxiety and suspense, and as a result I was always tense and in literal pain. A few months after leaving him, I started noticing a major reduction in pain and tension. So whatever it is that's stressing you out and causing you so much anxiety, rid yourself of it soon as possible.

@MrsB3922 yeah.. unfortunately it's not a person or a situation...my anxiety stemmed from back in the beginning of December last year...I had a higher a1c of 6.1 so prediabetic...I ate waaaay too much sugar and caused me to have a bad panic attack. Thus leading me to have fear around eating in general. I eat limited foods because of it. I've been on an extremely low carb diet since. I cut out sugar, no fruits, no heavy processed carbs. I've eaten a lot of the same things for months. I eat a lot of Atkins protein bars and snack bars. I'm trying to do exposure slowly by introducing foods I used to eat but it's going to take some time I just got to a point of feeling confident enough to do it. I got chipotle last night and got black beans, no rice or salsa just did the Paleo bowl with chicken. I've not had dairy in months nor red meat mostly due to GI issues) but yeah....it's not as easy as ridding the stress away unfortunately lol I just have to find a healthy relationship with food again...and know I'll be ok when I eat stuff and not have a panic attack. I had so many and constantly having anxiety attacks for weeks on end around eating anything.

I have all of the symptoms that you mention. I've been to the doc and had test run, wore a heart monitor for 2 weeks and everything comes back fine. My doc just said it's anxiety. I currently have a neck pain and it's bothering my ear so my anxiety is trying to make me spiral into thinking it's something major. I just try talking myself down and telling myself it's nothing, it's just the anxiety. The hardest part are the physical symptoms. Especially the head feeling weird/light headed. It seems like that always hits me when I'm in public then I start to panic thinking I'm going to pass out in the middle of walmart or some place. I take Ativan on my really bad days and that does help tons but I try not to take them a lot. I always worry about getting dependent on them.

Oh I also do ERP and CBT for mine. And been doing DBT. So I have a lot of therapy to help and I just actively have been working on it since December. I went from having daily anxiety or panic attacks multiple times a day...to rarely having anxiety attacks. And very very rare mild anxiety...until just recently cuz I was concerned about if maybe I have high BP cuz of eating more salt lol. So now I just have to retrain my brain to adjust to it and accepting it is fine nothing is wrong.

Hi , battle everyday with the physical symptoms , all you mentioned , in and out of doctors especially cardiologist, ..tell me its all anxiety .. even ringing in my ears.. i believe also covid made me feel worse since i had it .. in 21 ..

@Johnj yeah I had a lot of bad anxiety issues after I got covid in February 2020, but mostly after they gave me Prednisone which is not a good combo steroids and covid. So I went through months and months of extremely bad anxiety, panic and anxiety attacks, stroke like symptoms. I got over it with time and then my anxiety mellowed out until 7 months ago when I had a scare with eating too much sugar and the it got so bad. I've been doing good last couple months but then been feeling some symptoms in my chest again and now I'm having more constant anxiety...very mild mostly but still it sucks..I'd gotten so use to NOT feeling anything physical wise for a while..now I'm having to remind myself this has happened before and it's normal and I am ok. But it definitely sucks!
