It can be an extremely frustrating condition. I had cancer 4 years ago and after having a radical hysterectomy my fibromyalgia has gotten worse. I’m in pain every single day. I take duloxetine and Tylenol if needed. I don’t want to take too much stuff but everyone of different. Relaxing and low stress is fhe best remedy obviously right lol

I wish there was a magic wand, I've been diagnosed for nearly 20 years, although they say it's not degenerative, I'm sorry but mine has definitely got worse in the last ten years, I've had to give up working for a start, now almost house bound I've learned to just do things slowly, oh and nap without feeling guilty. I'm always about as I've rls and insomnia so if you want to chat I'm about. X

For me the best helpers have been a heating pad, cannabis, and kratom. I eat healthy, whole vegan foods. I do not currently exercise because it hurts too much, and I have chronic insomnia, so the classic "exercise and sleep" prescription does not work for me.

Where do u get your cbd oil from thanks

@jojo1982 I get mine from Green Stem CBD online. Double check that CBD is legal where you are first before ordering any (it is here in the UK).

Another vote here for CBD oil drops. I take 2500mg and have around 0.4ml 3x per day. I tried on the lower dose (1000mg) and increased it until I found the dose that helped without going too high. I also try to do yoga every day as I get very stiff from not moving much, which makes my pain worse, and the yoga helps loosen me up and eases my pain over time. Other than that I have a foot massager under my work desk and you'll always find me with a blanket and a hot water bottle. Hot baths help me too, and as a bonus I get to wash at the same time (I'm unable to shower well/often). Take everything a little slower and be kind to yourself mentally and physically. You need to find what works for you, but I hope some of these can guide you in a good direction 😊

Hi I have had fibromyalgia for over 10years the medication really sucks I'm on morphine fentalyn patch and pregabaline I also have me which makes the symptoms worse I have to pick and choose what activities I do as I end up in bed for days afterwards
@chezybelle you must have fantastic doctors! Mine all told me to use cannabis, even though I didn't want the psychoactive effects. At this point I've just learned to go with it.

Research supplements and try until something helps. Ginger and magnesium work for me. Changing my diet made a WORLD of difference. When I eat fast food I have a week long flare up. Makes me wonder what the fuck is in “food” these days.
Kratom has saved my life. I spent 3 entire months - a whole summer - in bed with excitement pain, and I only saw two solutions: heroin or death. I did not want either but saw no other way...until kratom. Don't believe the scare tactics. It is safe and effective.
@Pinkdreamer *excruciating pain
I found out I had chronic fatigue fire Malaysia when I was 16 I was bedridden for almost a year until they put me on neurontin 800 mg which allowed me to be able to work and get back to my job because if I don't take that I will be bedridden and physically not able to work
Hi, I was properly diagnosed last year! My fibromyalgia was triggered by my son's birth trauma 15 years ago! Only just addressing the issue now with counselling! I am having a mini flare up today, as I have had two busy days. I am so tired, my body aches and the brain fog is bad today! X
Try asking your doctor for neurontin which is a pain medication which I take every day I take 800 mg three times a day and I'm usually pretty good and I'm able to work
If this meds don't working contact with doctors. This meds never worked with my body😥 THC should help but i think you need a good painkillers. Try bath and relax.
Hi, I know how you feel. I was only diagnosed in 2021, but I was fighting for years for a diagnosis. I honestly could not live without the pain medication. I have been going to a chiropractor for 7 years, and it has made a huge difference for me. My cousin also has fibromyalgia, but she had to stop the medication and now uses CBD oil drops, and she states it really helps her. I also know someone who takes medication and CBD oil and say it works for them. I have yet to try it, but it's something you can have a look at. I also try and make my life easier where I can. I struggle to open cans and now have an electric can opener. I also bought an electric brush that helps me with cleaning the house as I don't have strength in my hands and arms. I don't exactly have a normal day living because I have several chronic illnesses, but I try to look at what I struggle the most and try to adapt. I hope that helps. I'm always here to talk if you ever need.
