someone help! so I just got some stool sample results back and one is concerning me.. pancreatic elastase it says... severe pancreatic insufficiency: <100 moderate pancreatic insufficiency: 100-200 normal/standard range: >200 my value: <50 I have tested above average on a lipase blood test as well. does anyone know what this means? I got my result on Friday and have to wait until tomorrow to talk to my doctor. but I figured I would post on here in the meantime! thank you in advance! 😊

You'll need an enzyme replacement most likely since your count is low. Mine was 28. Good luck!

I got results back on my elastase last week and it was also under 50. In my case, I was a heavy drinker for many years and my pancreas has been damaged and isn't producing enough digestive enzymes. There are a number of reasons for your pancreas to have diminished function.
