it's usually a challenge falling asleep and when I do I wake up with panic attacks because of nightmares, then I can't fall back asleep. How do I prevent bad dreams??

My therapist recommended processing my trauma during the day so that it doesn't come out as nightmares at night. In your case, try processing whatever is making you anxious. Write it down or draw or talk about it to someone.
