Dealing with Flare-Ups: Tips and Tricks

I know I'm having a flare up when my eyes are so watery they just run and run... I know it's ironic that you have a drying disorder and your eyes run but your body is trying to lubricate your eyes and my eyes hurt or feel like they are burning as if there is smoke in the air. Also I get super dry patches that feel like scales or rips in my skin on the back of my hands. My palms are super dry and begin to flake. I am currently taking mycophenalate and restasis along with the the plaquenil and hydrochlorothiazide. I hope this helps

Hi! 🙂 I know my Sjogrens is flaring up when my eyes hurt, my nose gets really dry, and I get more thirsty than usual. I also tend to get patches of raw skin on my hands.

Hi, for me, I always get super dry, very fatigued and itchy skin also lots of digestive issues.

I know if I overdo things physically that I’ll have a flare up the days after. Rest is the only thing I can do, but that includes heating pads/ice, compression etc.
