I just got laid off from my part time job. Not entirely sure how I feel, but at least partially, I feel relieved. I only worked 12 hours a week, and even that was almost too much. I'm just not quite sure what to do with myself now. Financially, I'll be ok. the only thing I worried about is my routine collapsing in, and my depression returning. Every time I'm without a job for a while, I tend to get depressed after too long. not working was already the goal, and this will help me move forward with getting disability, but I'm just nervous about my routine changing and no responsibilities outside the house to anchor myself on.

I know exactly how you feel! Your health is the priority and you will of course have bad days, but you will feel so much better for taking the time to focus on yourself and your health. You have to take one day at a time and not punish yourself. Take care of yourself ❤️

It's understandable to feel relieved and nervous at the same time. To maintain a routine and prevent depression, consider finding activities or hobbies that interest you, volunteering, or exploring remote work opportunities. This can help provide structure and a sense of purpose while you focus on your well-being and pursue disability benefits.
