I want to know if there's anything that I can do that will help me manage my symptoms better and if there's anything that I can see drastically to see if my condition is improving.

low FODMAP diet. I'm about to start it myself. it cuts out all foods that contain sugars people with GI disorders to sensitive to for a few weeks, and then you reintroduce foods slowly to find out what triggers your IBS.

I have had lifelong IBS. As a kid I used to get the cramping after eating that you mentioned. I recently found success with taking Beano (they have a generic version that I use). I found that there are certain fodmap foods that I have trouble digesting due to missing good bacteria. Good quality probiotics helped a bit, but the digestive enzyme was a game changer. I have a hard time with beans, cauliflower, lentils, and uncooked cabbage and broccoli. For my gut inflammation I have been taking garlic oil twice a day and I can't believe how much this has worked. I hope you find relief!

Medications: sucralfate if you have GERD sometimes or nausea with stomach problems, hyoscyamine is helpful for cramping and diarrhea. If you ever are constipated, raspberry leaf tea can help move things along. There are plenty of other things but it's dependent on what your tastes are like for food or tea. Fiber but check with doctor on types they recommend. FODMAP diet. Activities: Meditation, walking, exercise, anxiety reducing activities that you like. If you have less pain and have bowel movements that are comfortable and easy then great.
