Really struggling to find friends my age who I get along with. College is rough as hell and I am an extrovert but I run out of energy from depression but I need interaction for some. it's a cycle

      sis i’m in the exact same boat. i try to keep everything, my emotions, and everyone in my life consistent but it never works lol…and everyone always leaves. it sucks but i think it’s just adulting

      I feel this so much I am honestly too drained and tired to have new friends even though i’m not nervous or anything.

      I feel that. I don’t work and my husband is working from 4:30am till sometimes 8 or 9. I’m home alone all day since he takes the car so hanging out with people outside is what keeps me sane.

      i'm an introvert, so a lil different, but i completely relate as a college student, too. i'm lucky to have the few people who trust me and look after me, but it's so difficult to branch out or to feel like i belong in social settings at my uni. depression drains me so fast when i'm out and about, i find myself frequently bracing walls to catch my breath and not feel dizzy. hey, i'm cheering for you. i'm sorry it's been so exhausting and draining. i'm right there with you. feel free to reach out, i can just listen and be there to chat if you want. sending hugs ♡

      In my life I've always been told I talk to much or I'm too loud cause when I get excited I raise my voice and it's so hard trying to find people who don't mind the way I am but to me I've always been a weird one so I embrace that side of me n if people don't like it then that's on them cause I've always been myself around everyone there's no point in changing for people if they can't take u how u are then you don't need them in ur life

      I had major depression throughout my undergrad time. Keep going to therapy- there was one summer I was a part of a DBT skills group and that program really helped me become more assertive and feel more comfortable around other people. Group therapy is a wonderful way to get some kind of interaction with humans in a constructive manner. College is tough as hell, there were many points along the way that I didn't know how I would do it, but through the disability office I found accomodations that actually helped me not be so exhausted at the end of the day from classes. I had extended time for homework for instance, and this would let me take a fay off from homework if I had a bad episode and got me through college. Start finding clubs on campus and just go there. Just being in a room with other people can help you come out of your shell a little bit.

      I completely relate. Seems when I do get around someone, I tend to talk their ear off or word vomit. I'm not even a people person but I have very little social interaction
