okay so I have had a really bad headache/migraine off and on for the last month. my job causes me to sit in front of three computers 8 hours a day, and I think that could be the cause or at least partly. I try to track my sleep each night and it looks like in the last month, I jump from 2-5 hours any given night. I have not been diagnosed with insomnia but I feel like I should be(appt set to talk with Dr). any tips to help with falling and staying asleep?

I saw this really cool beanie thing for migraines you can heat it or freeze it and it has a flap to cover your eyes.

As a migraine sufferer for 30+ years, mine actually are better since I've been doing 100% computer work (25+ years). About 2 years ago, i started using bluelight filter eyewear clip-ons, great investment, i even see more clearly. Before that i used f-Lux on my 27 inch dual monitors. Switching jobs may help, but just saying that a calm and controlled stress job might be more important.
Please can you get a scan. I don't want to scare you but my husband had a headache for 2 weeks and found out he has a brain tumour. I'm sure it's nothing as sinister as that, but the sooner you catch these things, the more options you have. Seriously please do, if its nothing then that's wonderful reassurance. Take a book and go wait in A&E for a scan please please xx
SadMe: Thank you so much I really appreciate your advice. I spoke to my manager and we are looking at a different position due to the screens and fluorescent lights. ☺️
Do you know what your migraine triggers are? One of my main ones is lack of sleep, so I feel you! So it's important to get that. Sitting in front of the screen all day also does not help. Do you have a filter over your monitor? If you don't you should get that looked at. Sitting on the fluorescent lights can also cause a problem for migraine sufferers. I'm sorry I'm not being very helpful with the sleep thing, I'm not particularly good at it either. I think for myself I would rather work out what my triggers are for the migraines and deal with that first. But I understand how frustrating it is when you cannot sleep.
