I have BPD and recently split on my partner- which is horrible experience and not fair to him at all. I tried to look at articles on how to help with the splitting and the psychology behind it, but all the articles highlighted the struggles of dating someone with BPD and how we're abusive and they should leave us. Left me feeling really bad about myself and how I'm not stable enough to find love.

People with BPD are not unlovable! You are not too unstable to find love! I’ve been in this mindset so many times in my life and it is so hard to get out of even with the proper support, but I believe in you wholeheartedly. Any relationship takes work, and with the proper methods of coping and an educated and respectful partner you can have a relationship the same way anyone else can. Things are hard with love and these feelings, splitting is confusing, but things can get better with the right treatment and support. Best of luck ❤️

I relate very close to you on this subject. What most people don’t understand about those of us suffering from BPD is that we have no control over things like splitting or the other negative symptoms so hated by the masses. BPD is an extremely complex thing to tackle at any age, and I want you to know as well as anyone else coping with this, you are not a monster for the ways you feel. You are trying your damned hardest and that’s a big step. Doing research is good, just try to avoid those awful “BPD loved ones” forums and articles. It’s nothing but hurtful misinformation that can leave you feeling unlovable and triggered.
