Intense Pain and Swelling Behind Left Eye - Seeking Advice

Hello, I'm Rae. I'm a 31 year old female. I have elhers danlos syndrome and recently started having intense pain in my face, mostly behind my left eye. I thought it was from a pinched nerve in my neck or jaw. I went and saw an ophthalmologist just to make sure it wasn't my eye. Sure enough, he informed me that the nerve behind my left eye was very swollen. He wanted me to see a different eye specialist, neuro and have an MRI done ASAP! I got the mri done, but the report didn't mention the nerve or it being swollen. I'm still waiting for my appointments with the eye specialist and neuro. Everyone is scheduling so far out, the soonest neuro can get me in is the end of Sept. The doctor that saw the swelling took photos in the office and showed me how swollen it was. He told me that he ONLY sees it like this is patients with MS. I'm curious if anyone can give me any suggestions? Do you have this swelling and don't have MS? I do experience some vision changes when whatever this is flares and i get the pain behind my eye. It comes and goes, lasting an average of 2 or 3 days when it happens. I have also been experiencing extreme dizziness since Nov 2021. I first thought it was from my POTS, but nothing I use to control my POTS is helping. My cardiologist thinks the dizziness is from whatever else is going on. They did find a small cyst in my brain, apparently they are common but because mine was on the larger size, they want another MRI done in 6 months to check it. (Would neuro be able to help with this cyst or should I be seeing an ENT?) I know this was a bunch of information and very long. If you are still here reading, Thank you!
