Applying for disability for mental health reasons is such an exhausting and degrading process. You're gaslit constantly, making you doubt your own emotional experience. Earlier I was looking up what I'm even supposed to do to get by during the appeal process (which typically takes a year and a half AT LEAST) and one article's advice was basically 1. Work (y'know, the thing I would be doing if I wasn't disabled?!) 2. Pray that your state has assistance beyond just basics like SNAP 3. Get your friends and family to help....
All this song and dance to prove to the government that *maybe* my existence is economically justifiable. And the best part is, I don't even want to live in the first place...
